Centauri has the  Australian-made official certification, as at our factory in New South Wales we have in-house luminaire design, assembly, custom manufacturing, and production teams. And we all know what this means in terms of product quality, turnaround time, support, and, most importantly, service.

It instils a great sense of pride in our staff at all levels that we are a 100% Australian-owned manufacturer. Through this, we can support local industry and provide jobs directly within the business and indirectly via local businesses where we use their raw products or manufacturing support.

By having our business firmly entrenched in Australia, we are able to quickly support our clients in completing their projects through the control over luminaire designs, responsive to lead times, extremely high local standards and requirements for our products along with outstanding engineering innovations done in-house like our Beyond Vision-enabled technology to meet WELL Standard requirements.

Designing and manufacturing our own luminaires allows us control over the quality of the products, ensuring functionality and electrical safety compliance with AS/NZS 60598. We know that every product that leaves our factory is safe and works to the highest standards.

Human-centric lighting is devoted to enhancing wellbeing, vision and performance. All our Centauri products are Beyond Vision™ capable.

Beyond Vision™ was  founded on the latest research in the field of LEDs and human-centric lighting, and by using the very best technology available we are able to achieve outstanding performance, in simple and affordable ways. Beyond Vision™ enabled luminaires offer melanopic ratios to 0.986 at colour temperatures around 4000K, compliant to the WELL building guides demands.

At Centauri we are inspired by sustainable lighting solutions. We are committed to protecting the environment and preserving resources.

For our packaging we use biodegradable materials wherever possible, including shrink wrap, tape, pallet tops and shipping satchels for smaller deliveries. We continue to research and test materials that are the most sustainable and good for the environment.

All incoming cardboard is either reused for packaging or recycled. Scrap aluminium generated during the manufacturing of our extrusions are placed in our designated scrap aluminium bin, collected and sent to recycle.

From the manufacture and transportation of raw materials to the daily operational energy needs of buildings, the built environment is responsible for nearly 40% of all glasshouse gas emissions. As a result, the architecture, design, and real estate industries have an unprecedented opportunity to take the lead in creating a more resilient, sustainable future.

Simple effective design and good quality materials define the Centauri range. We have seen bad designs and poor-quality products leading to an increase in waste and pollution, and we wanted to do something about it. This is why Centauri is committed to working towards a more sustainable lighting industry and generating solutions with a positive impact on the environment.
